Training Overview

A21’s Human Trafficking 101 course has been created to equip frontline professionals and community members in the United States with knowledge about human trafficking: what it looks like, how it happens, and what you can do to stop it. Whether you are a business owner, an employee, a parent, or a youth worker, this training will give you the knowledge and tools you need to help safeguard yourself and others from human trafficking and exploitation.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Understand the definition, forms, and cycle of human trafficking and exploitation
  • Identify red flags and indicators of potential human trafficking scenarios
  • Recognize and describe the recruitment methods traffickers use
  • Learn what steps to take if you suspect someone is a potential victim of human trafficking

Training Details:

  • This self-paced training course is hosted on the Canvas platform
  • Training includes videos, interactive activities, quizzes, and written prompts
  • It takes up to 2 hours to complete
  • Upon completion, a training survey is required to receive a certificate
  • Participants will also be eligible to apply for continuing education credits (hours)
