Additional Information

Walk for Freedom is a day of global awareness and local action in the fight against human trafficking.

DATE: 19 October
TIME: 09:30 AM to 12:00 PM
VENUE: St. Thomas Methodist Church, 1 Muller Street

What happens during the Walk and what will it look like?

It is a silent, single-file line walk through town. We all wear black on the day to be noticed as a unified cause.
We carry posters and hand out fact sheets as we walk. The Walk starts and ends at the St Thomas Methodist Church on 1 Muller Street and the route is about 2,6 km long.
Day-of registration and check-in opens at 9h30. A21 Walk For Freedom t-shirts will be available for purchase on the day.
To celebrate 10 years of Walk For Freedom we will also have stalls selling food and drinks. Take a stance against human trafficking and help to keep our residents and visitors safe.

There is no age limit, so prams or walking sticks are welcome. As well as wheelchairs, if you are able, or have someone assisting you. Remember to bring a water bottle and a camera / camera phone.

Using Social Media to make the Walk go viral all around the world is how we reached millions in previous years, and we want to see more this year. Use #WalkForFreedom when you post on instagram, twitter or facebook and follow A21's accounts as well for updates and to share your photos.
