Join us as we Walk For Freedom in Liverpool, United Kingdom

We believe that every step we take locally leaves footprints globally. Every dollar fundraised, every poster seen, every person made aware of the issue of human trafficking, add up to one Global impact - a world where everyone is free.

Additional Information

The Liverpool & Wirral Hope For Justice Abolition Group are organising the A21 Liverpool Walk For Freedom 2024. This is a global event, taking place in cities across the world, that raises awareness of modern slavery and human trafficking.

Please register to take part online on the A21 website: www.a21.org/walk

Sign in on the day will be from 10am at the Martin Luther King Building, part of the International Slavery Museum on the Royal Albert Docks.

The walk itself will set off at 11am. The route is 2 miles long and will take approximately 90 minutes, taking us through the town centre and along the waterfront.

If possible, please wear a black T-shirt and dress appropriately for the weather. We'll be walking for the most part in silence, in single file. Banners and poster-boards with information about modern slavery will be provided.

We would like to encourage individuals, families and groups to take part, so please invite your friends and local organisations. We want this to be an inclusive event, so wheelchair users, pushchairs and prams are also welcome.

For people who aren't able to walk on the day but who would still like to get involved, please get in touch with the event organisers to learn about other ways you can help (e.g. marshals, check in etc).

We look forward to seeing you there to raise awareness of modern slavery in our city of Liverpool as part of Anti-Slavery week 2024.
