Additional Information
*Join the Free Methodist Church Walk for Freedom* As members of the Free Methodist Church, we believe in ending slavery and abolishing human trafficking. Our founder, B.T. Roberts, fought for freedom for slaves and was excommunicated by the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1860. He also attempted to ordain women in 1890, and although he lost by only two votes, he paved the way for the first women to be ordained in the United States in 1973. Today, the Free Methodist Church continues to fight for freedom through the Set Free Movement. This October, we are partnering with A21, an organization founded by abolitionist Christine Caine, to continue B.T. Roberts' work. We invite you to join us in Rock Hill, South Carolina, as part of the Free Methodist Church Walk for Freedom. Representatives from our local church, 180, in Rock Hill, Fishing Creek Presbyterian Church, and our chaplaincy project in Charlotte, North Carolina, will be participating in this event. We encourage you to sign up today and join us in our efforts to end slavery. Together, we can make a difference and bring freedom to those who are enslaved. Sign up now and let's walk for freedom!
